Software
- Firefox - the web browser I use most often. For macOS, Windows, and Linux.
- Orion - a Safari-like web browser for iOS and iPadOS that blocks ads and trackers by default.
- uBlock Origin - an ad-, tracker-, and content-blocker for Firefox.
- uBlock Origin Lite - for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
- LeechBlock - a highly configurable website blocker. Stops you from spending time on sites you know you shouldn't. If you're wondering "but can it..." the answer is probably "yes."

Search engines
- Kagi - High-quality search results, with less AI slop than Google. Costs $5/mo though.
- DuckDuckGo - Pretty similar to Google, but at least they let you turn off the AI summaries. They also have a feature called Bangs that makes it easy to search specific sites.
- Ecosia - Berlin-based search engine. Donates profits to environmental causes.
- Marginalia - Indie search engine run by one guy, Viktor Löfgren. Turns up sites that are off the beaten track. Not a daily driver, but a nice supplement.
- Slop Evader browser extension - searches the pre-ChatGPT web.
